Brand & Identity: Enjjoy CBD

Branding & Identity

It’s a Mood: Launching Enjjoy

2021, Zero Studios

Enjjoy is the first D2C CBD brand that cuts out the middle people, bringing the most potent and affordable product on the market straight to your cannabinoid system.

Working with the team at Zero Studios, we built the brand from strategy all the way to launch, creating an accessibly fun world with a wacky cast of characters, which even includes a mascot named Roy G. Biv and a branded mixtape.

My personal role was developing early concepts for Enjjoy’s branding & identity, exploring potential avenues for color, typography, logo, and packaging. Eventually these concepts evolved further into the wonderful and gradient-soaked world of Enjjoy,

What They Don’t Teach You… was designed to be an all-in-one survivial guide to life after graduation, made by students for students. It includes interviews with design professionals from all backgrounds and practices, advice on internships, and an array of helpful resources.

← Feature Article Illustration

I also had the opportunity to design spot illustrations for the feature article written by Julian Glander. These were especially fun, and came with the challenge of referencing an artist without trying to just copy their style. Glander’s 3D illustrations are full of character, so I wanted mine to bring that same energy.

While the zine was designed to be printed on UT’s own 2-color risograph, due to Covid-19-related closures, it had to be printed using a one-color risograph. As a result, the registration was unforgiving for some tightly-designed spreads. Despite this setback, the team was pleased with how the imperfections gave each zine its own one-of-a-kind character. Besides, what is turning out as expected nowadays anyway?

← Envelope

In addition to designing spreads and illustrations for the inside of the booklet, I also designed a graphic that was repurposed on the front of the envelope.

The zine was released in late July of 2020. Physical copies sold out in just one hour.

A digital copy is available for download here. Enjoy!
